Most of the things that break are the things that are hardest to move. A gate that is bolted to a slab, a trailer that cannot legally be towed, a piece of equipment in the middle of a job. Loading it up and hauling it to a shop turns a two-hour repair into a two-day problem, and sometimes it is not possible at all.
Mobile welding solves that by bringing the capability to the work. Set Apart Metal Works runs TIG, MIG, Stick and flux-core in the field, on steel, stainless, aluminum and chromoly, with the generator, gas, consumables and hand tools to finish the job on the first visit wherever the scope allows.
You deal with Tyler directly. He looks at the failure, tells you what he thinks caused it, and explains the repair he would actually trust — including when the honest answer is that a repair is not the right call.

Cracks that keep coming back
A crack welded closed without addressing why it cracked will reopen, usually in the same week. Stopping the crack, welding it out and reinforcing the area is a different job from filling the gap.
Broken brackets, mounts and tabs
The small welded parts that carry concentrated load — they tear out of the parent metal and take a piece of it with them, so the repair has to rebuild the base as well as the bracket.
Hinges, latches and gates out of square
Once a frame racks, the hinge is the symptom. Straightening and re-setting the geometry is what makes it latch again.
Damage found mid-job
Hidden rot, previous repairs and thinned metal turn up once the paint comes off. That changes the scope, and it gets discussed before any extra work happens.

About Mobile Welding
How far will you travel for a mobile job?
Serving Dickson, Nashville, Clarksville, Franklin, Spring Hill, Columbia, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities. Longer-distance work considered depending on the project — call or text and Tyler will tell you straight whether he can get to you and what it would take.
Can you weld on my truck or trailer without damaging the electronics?
Yes. Welding on a vehicle is done with the work lead placed close to the weld and the appropriate precautions for the equipment involved, so current does not travel through anything it should not.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Clear access to the repair area is the main thing, plus somewhere safe to work with regard to what is nearby — fuel, tires, hydraulics, dry grass. Tyler will tell you if anything else is needed when you talk through the job.
Will one visit finish it?
Often, but not always. Hidden damage, a part that has to be ordered, or a repair that needs the item apart can turn a job into two trips. That is discussed up front once the scope is clear rather than sprung on you afterwards.
