Trailer Frame Repair on the Roadside

Problem: A trailer frame failed mid-trip on a family heading east toward Knoxville, leaving a loaded trailer that could not safely be towed.

Solution: Responded on site, cut out the failed section, and welded in reinforcement so the trailer could finish the trip.

Ballfield Fence Rail Repair

Problem: Damaged rail sections and posts on a ballfield fence line.

Solution: Cut out the failed sections, fit new aluminum rail and TIG-welded it in place on site.

Bucket Crack Repair and Reinforcement

Problem: Cracks spreading from the high-stress areas of a working bucket.

Solution: Stopped the cracks, welded them out and added gussets where the loading concentrates.

Problem: Worn floor and wall seams inside a roll-off container.

Solution: Welded the failed seams from inside the box at the customer’s yard.

Brewery Process Line Modification

Problem: A process line needed rerouting to fit a change in the production layout.

Solution: Cut in, fit up and TIG welded the modified run to food-grade practice, then reinstalled the line.

Commercial ADA Handrail Project

Problem: Roughly 1,151 linear feet of ADA handrail across ramp and stair conditions, including switchbacks and 90-degree ramp turns.

Solution: Fabricated, field painted and installed the full run. Project changes mid-build required redesign and refabrication of several rails, managed as change orders.

Roll-Off Container Floor Patch

Problem: A worn container floor had torn through, taking the box out of the rental fleet.

Solution: Cut out the failed floor section and welded in a patch panel at the customer’s yard, so the container never left the site.

Flotation Pod Installation

Problem: Flotation pods needed fitting to a transom that had bowed out of true.

Solution: Managed the fit-up and gaps against the real transom shape rather than forcing the pods to a flat plane. 5356 filler where appropriate.

Henslee Park Handrail Repair

Problem: An aluminum handrail post at Henslee Park had cracked clean through just above its base plate — on a rail the public uses every day.

Solution: Welded the crack out and rewelded the post-to-plate joint in place, in aluminum, so the rail never left the park.

Ramp Gate and D-Ring Replacement

Problem: Failed ramp gate hinges and torn-out tie-down points on a working equipment trailer.

Solution: Replaced the hinges and re-anchored new D-rings into sound base metal with backing where the original points had pulled through.

Attachment Mount and Tab Repair

Problem: Torn mounting tabs on an attachment that could not be used until it was back in one piece.

Solution: Rebuilt the tabs and reinforced the surrounding plate so the load spreads further into the frame.

Truck Bed Pullout Drawer

Problem: Tools and gear in a truck bed that could only be reached by climbing in over everything in front of them.

Solution: Fabricated an aluminum pullout drawer to fit the bed — ribbed deck, side rails, heavy-duty slides and locking pins — TIG-welded with the filler and heat control aluminum requires.

Tri-Clamp Ferrule Installation

Problem: A tank and line needed additional tri-clamp connection points for new equipment.

Solution: Fit and welded ferrules with attention to fit-up and internal finish, so the joints clean properly.

Problem: Broken mounts on equipment that was impractical to haul to a shop.

Solution: Field repair with localized work-lead placement and appropriate precautions around the surrounding equipment.

Trailer Jack Stand Repair

Problem: A trailer jack stand that had broken away at its mount, leaving the trailer with no safe way to be set down or hitched.

Solution: Cleaned back to sound steel, welded the stand back to its mounting bracket along the full seam, and painted the repair.

Stainless Steel Restaurant Bracket

Problem: A restaurant needed a mounting bracket that would hold up to daily washdown, where an off-the-shelf part did not fit and would have rusted.

Solution: Fabricated a one-off stainless steel bracket to the real dimensions, TIG-welded and cleaned so it can be wiped down like the rest of the kitchen.

Problem: A cracked stainless fixture in a working kitchen, with the equipment out of service.

Solution: Repaired the crack and dressed the weld back to a cleanable surface.

Problem: Guardrail and handrail work calling for schedule-40 pipe, pickets, posts and anchored base plates.

Decorative Mailbox Post Repair

Problem: A decorative cast mailbox post that had broken and could not be replaced with a matching part.

Solution: Repaired the post and its scrollwork on site and reset it at the curb.

Problem: New townhouse entries with concrete steps and no handrails.

Solution: Fabricated and installed matching steel handrails at each entry, anchored to the steps.

Rooftop Spiral Stair Removal and Reinstall

Problem: Renovations on a rooftop deck meant the existing steel spiral stair had to come out of the way — and the only route on or off the roof was over the edge by boom lift.

Solution: Disassembled the spiral stair, lifted it off the deck by boom lift, then reassembled and reinstalled it once the renovation work was done, welding the landing and guardrail tie-ins back in place on the deck. Not a fabrication job — a careful take-apart and put-back.

Mailbox Post Repair

Problem: A decorative aluminum mailbox post had corroded through where the box mounts, leaving a hole and a split in the tube — and the mailbox on the ground.

Solution: Cut the corrosion back to sound metal, TIG-welded an aluminum patch plate over the section on site, and remounted the mailbox on the repaired post the same visit.
