Trailer Frame Repair on the Roadside

Problem: A trailer frame failed mid-trip on a family heading east toward Knoxville, leaving a loaded trailer that could not safely be towed.

Solution: Responded on site, cut out the failed section, and welded in reinforcement so the trailer could finish the trip.

Problem: Damaged rail sections and posts on a ballfield fence line.

Solution: Cut out the failed sections, fit new rail and welded it in place on site.

Brewery Process Line Modification

Problem: A process line needed rerouting to fit a change in the production layout.

Solution: Cut in, fit up and TIG welded the modified run to food-grade practice, then reinstalled the line.

Commercial ADA Handrail Project

Problem: Roughly 1,151 linear feet of ADA handrail across ramp and stair conditions, including switchbacks and 90-degree ramp turns.

Solution: Fabricated, field painted and installed the full run. Project changes mid-build required redesign and refabrication of several rails, managed as change orders.

Roll-Off Container Floor Patch

Problem: A worn container floor had torn through, taking the box out of the rental fleet.

Solution: Cut out the failed floor section and welded in a patch panel at the customer’s yard, so the container never left the site.

Flotation Pod Installation

Problem: Flotation pods needed fitting to a transom that had bowed out of true.

Solution: Managed the fit-up and gaps against the real transom shape rather than forcing the pods to a flat plane. 5356 filler where appropriate.

Jon Boat Transom Repair

Problem: A damaged and bowed transom on an aluminum jon boat, with unwanted holes in the hull.

Solution: Welded the cracks, closed the holes and repaired the transom, then repainted the affected area.

Ramp Gate and D-Ring Replacement

Problem: Failed ramp gate hinges and torn-out tie-down points on a working equipment trailer.

Solution: Replaced the hinges and re-anchored new D-rings into sound base metal with backing where the original points had pulled through.

Problem: Torn mounting tabs on an attachment that could not be used until it was back in one piece.

Solution: Rebuilt the tabs and reinforced the surrounding plate so the load spreads further into the frame.

Aluminum Ramp Fabrication

Problem: An access ramp that needed to be light enough to move but strong enough to use daily.

Solution: Fabricated in aluminum with the filler and heat control the material actually requires.

Problem: A tank and line needed additional tri-clamp connection points for new equipment.

Solution: Fit and welded ferrules with attention to fit-up and internal finish, so the joints clean properly.

Problem: Cracked welds and a failing crossmember on an aluminum trailer.

Solution: Cleaned back to sound material, TIG welded the cracks and reinforced the crossmember.

Rooftop Deck Guardrail Post Repair

Problem: Guardrail posts on a rooftop deck had cracked through just above the base plates.

Solution: Welded the cracks out and rewelded the post-to-plate joints in place on the deck, so the rail never came down.

Solution: Set and secured a steel spiral staircase to the deck and landing.

Problem: A steel post had rusted through near the base, leaving a hole and a split in the wall of the tube.

Solution: Cut the rust back to sound metal and welded a patch plate over the section on site, leaving it ready for paint.
