Written estimates that spell out what is and is not included. A deposit is only required when materials have to be ordered specifically for the project. If hidden damage or added work turns up, it is raised before it happens — depending on the project that may mean a written change order or an additional deposit.
Engineering, permits, concrete, electrical, carpentry, masonry, roofing and painting are excluded unless a quote specifically includes them. Access, field dimensions, material responsibility, lifting equipment and site readiness get confirmed before the work is scheduled rather than discovered on the day.
Set Apart Metal Works is fully insured with $2 million in general liability coverage, and certificates of insurance are available for qualifying projects on request.
